Job summary

Shift Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at Marshalls in Pollington (Goole) is responsible for ensuring continuous production, fault finding and maintenance of equipment on site. The role requires strong mechanical knowledge, NVQ 3 or time served, and experience with robots, hydraulics, pneumatics and conveyors.

Monday to Friday shifts with 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm slots. Applicants should be apprentice trained with experience in mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication and general machining, plus the

• Experience in mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication and general machining.
• Experience in reactive and planned maintenance on systems controlling hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors (belts, chain, rollers, bearings, gear boxes, motors, etc.), and able to read technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime.
• Fault finding and maintenance of equipment on site.
• Reactive engineering activities as required.

So, what’s the mission?

Working as part of the team, your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating engineering downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment reactive engineering activities on site.

What are the mission critical skills?

• A strong mechanical working knowledge
• The ideal applicant will be a qualified, time served in a similar position ideally at NVQ 3 level
• Ideally apprentice trained
• Working knowledge of robots and automated process plant & machinery
• Experience in mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication and general machining
