Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a heavy manufacturing site in Dudley. You will ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation by performing reactive repairs, PPMs and equipment upgrades to minimise downtime.

The role requires apprentice-trained or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering with 18th Edition or NEC cert, and hands-on experience in heavy industry. You will work on 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm shifts, Monday-Friday.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (local equivalent).
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations in the UK or NEC equivalent certification.
• Previous hands-on electrical maintenance experience in heavy industrial/manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical faults on heavy industrial machinery under time-sensitive breakdown conditions.
• Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules to optimise equipment reliability.
• Log all maintenance tasks in the CMMS.
• Adhere to safety standards including LOTO, Permit to Work and risk assessments.
• Conduct detailed shift handovers communicating ongoing maintenance challenges and spare parts requirements.

Shifts: Monday-Friday (Days and Afters) 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturing business in Dudley to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. In this role, you will ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a heavy manufacturing facility by executing reactive repairs, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and equipment upgrades. You will play a critical role in minimizing production downtime and improving machinery reliability across a fast-paced, high-tonnage production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical faults on heavy industrial machinery under time-sensitive breakdown conditions.
• Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to optimize equipment reliability and longevity.
• Log all maintenance tasks accurately within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Adhere strictly to safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Permit to Work systems, and risk assessments
• Conduct detailed shift handovers to communicate ongoing maintenance challenges and spare parts requirements

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Apprentice-trained or NVQ Level 3 (or local equivalent) in an Electrical Engineering discipline.
• Relevant electrical regulations certification (e.g., 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations in the UK or NEC equivalent
• Previous hands‑on electrical maintenance experience within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment (e.g., steel mill, foundry, paper mill, automotive plant, heavy chemical site)
• Strong fault‑finding and analytical skills under operational pressure
