Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a Ludlow-based manufacturing site. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production and site equipment, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, respond to breakdowns, and work closely with engineering teams to keep machinery operating at peak efficiency. The role offers a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern and a £48,000 salary.

ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Ludlow

Salary: £48,000

Shift: 4 on, 4 off – 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am
Shift Pattern: 2 weeks of nights followed by 2 weeks of days

Job Role of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of production and site equipment. You will play a key role in responding to breakdowns, diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults, and ensuring machinery is operating at maximum efficiency.

Working closely with the production and engineering teams, you will be expected to identify recurring faults, implement effective solutions and contribute towards continuous improvement across the site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience carrying out planned preventative, reactive and breakdown maintenance within a fast-paced production environment.
• Recognised Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.

Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Hands-on electrical fault-finding experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
• Experience working with production machinery and industrial equipment.
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Experience working with CMMS or maintenance management systems.
• PLC fault-finding and interrogation experience would be advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an engineering and production team.

Desirable Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PLC fault finding and interrogation.
• Experience working within an FMCG or high-volume production environment.
• Experience with continuous improvement and equipment reliability projects.
