Qualifications

Job Description:

Elevation has the pleasure of working with an industry-leading, multi-million-pound PLC business based in Normanton, West Yorkshire, which is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for their newest site.

Salary: £47,332 + production bonus

Location: Normanton, West Yorkshire

Hours: Days and nights shift pattern - every Saturday off!

Duties of this position:

• Proactive approach focusing on preventative and reactive maintenance of infrastructure and mechanical control systems
• Attending to breakdowns
• Participating in continuous improvement projects
• Handling PPMs
• Working within a team environment, usually partnered with another Electrical Engineer
• Fault finding on PLCs such as Siemens, Beckhoff, and Mitsubishi

Desired experience:

• At least Level 3 or above in Electrical Engineering (City and Guilds or NVQ)
• HNC and HND qualifications are advantageous but not essential
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar environment
• Manufacturing experience required
• Willingness to work days and nights on shift rotation
• Experience in fault finding
• Knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC, Beckhoff PLC, Pilz Safety PLC, and Mitsubishi PLC is desirable
• Previous experience in Electrical Maintenance Engineering
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Excellent communication skills in reading and spoken English
• Open-mindedness and flexibility to adapt to business needs
