Electrical Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Technician

Location:

Croydon

Salary:

£48,000 + living allowance (approx. £52,000 total package)

Bonus:

We are seeking an experienced EC&I Technician to join our Energy team in Croydon. You will maintain and improve electrical, control, and instrumentation systems, ensuring high plant reliability and safety.

Ideal for those with a SCADA or process industry background.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct pre-planned maintenance and inspections
2. Diagnose and resolve faults
3. Manage calibration records and implement calibrations
4. Plan corrective and reactive work
5. Maintain CMMS records
6. Supervise contractors when needed
7. Ensure plant safety and compliance

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in EC&I within a process or manufacturing environment
• Hands-on with CMMS, DCS/SCADA systems
• Strong fault-finding skills
• Ability to read instrument drawings and P&IDs
• Familiar with plant safety systems and isolations

Qualifications:

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 / HNC (or equivalent)
• Full UK driving licence
• Desirable: 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
