Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance, testing, installation and repair of critical electrical systems within a busy operational environment.

You will handle planned and reactive maintenance on LV distribution, power, lighting and generators, ensuring safe, compliant operation at all times.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• City & Guilds Electrical Engineering and/or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation with AM2 (or equivalent).
• Current IEE Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding and installations.
• Experience with LV distribution, power, lighting, generators and building management systems.
• Knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations and Electricity at Work Regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic IT skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance, testing, installation and repair of critical electrical systems within a busy operational environment.

Essential Criteria

• Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship.
• City & Guilds Electrical Engineering and/or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation with AM2 (or equivalent).
• Current IEE Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding and installations.
• Experience working on LV electrical systems, electrical distribution, power supplies, lighting, standby generators, fire alarms and building management systems.
• Knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations, Electrical Safety Code for LV Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic IT skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours including on-call, overtime and occasional weekend working.

Desirable Criteria

• HNC in Electrical Engineering.
• HVAC qualification.
• Experience within healthcare, facilities management or other regulated environments.
• Knowledge of HTM 06 Low Voltage Systems.
• Understanding of mechanical heating, ventilation and hot water systems.

Role Summary
