Job summary

Hunter Savage is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in the Portadown area to join an established engineering team. You will maintain electrical systems, diagnose faults and drive improvements in a modern production environment.

The role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance with a Monday to Friday eight-hour rotating shift pattern, offering a highly competitive package and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in an electrical related discipline.
• Experience in electrical maintenance within manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with PLCs, control panels and drives.
• Ability to perform both planned and reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and minimise production downtime.
• Maintain motors, drives, control panels, sensors and automated equipment.
• Support fault-finding on PLC controlled machinery.
• Assist with equipment installations and improvements.
• Ensure accurate maintenance records and safety compliance.

The Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Completing planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance
• Diagnosing faults and minimising production downtime
• Maintaining motors, drives, control panels, sensors and automated equipment
• Supporting fault-finding on PLC-controlled machinery
• Assisting with equipment installations, upgrades and improvement projects
• Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance
• Maintaining accurate engineering and maintenance records
• Working closely with production and engineering colleagues
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures

The Person

The successful candidate will have:

• A level 3 qualification in an electrical related discipline
• Previous electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience working with electrical equipment including PLC, control panels, drives etc
• The ability to complete both planned and reactive maintenance
• A safety-conscious and dependable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
