Job summary

SP Energy Networks is seeking a Craftsperson (Jointing) in Middlewich to construct, maintain and repair the electrical distribution network, supporting the move to a net-zero future. You will work safely and contribute to fault planning and jointing tasks, with on-site safety responsibilities as required.

The role involves cablehead changes, fuse replacement, fault location, generator deployment, and standby duties.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience and understanding of jointing, testing, and fault finding.
• Experience in a utilities business is preferable but not essential.
• Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site works safely in accordance with policy and safety rules.
• Perform cablehead changes, fuse replacement, fault location, and generator deployment.
• Plan and execute work safely, either on your own or as part of a team.
