Job summary
Scantec in North Yorkshire is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation) to maintain critical plant equipment on a permanent basis. The role carries a Pitman shift pattern (days and nights) with a salary around £52,000 plus excellent benefits and a strong focus on safety and reliability.
You will carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance supporting boilers, CHP systems and water treatment facilities, with responsibilities spanning fault finding,
Qualifications
- Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Instrumentation completed.
- Experience in manufacturing, heavy industrial, chemical, energy or process environments.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on electrical systems.
- Experience maintaining electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of isolation procedures and safe working practices.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Fault finding, testing, calibration, installation and commissioning of process instrumentation.
- Electrical installation, repairs and commissioning of plant and equipment.
- Support operation of boilers, CHP and water treatment facilities.
- Monitor plant performance and adjust operations as required.
- Ensure work is completed safely and in line with procedures.
- Support continuous improvement across the site.
