Job summary

Intertrain (UK) Ltd recruits Electrical Installations Tutors to deliver practical and theoretical training for apprenticeships and commercial clients in Coventry. You will teach courses such as C&G levels and BPEC Solar PV, and may create training materials to meet client requirements.

The role includes apprenticeship delivery, classroom and hands-on training, and ensuring compliance with health and safety and awarding bodies.

Qualifications

• Recent and relevant industry experience in domestic, commercial, or industrial Electrical Installation.
• Hold a minimum Level 3 Teaching qualification or equivalent.
• Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
• Have sound knowledge of Electrical and Science principles.
• Be able to deliver training across classroom and practical settings.
• Hold a driving licence and have access to own vehicle for travel to training centres.
• Deliver qualifications such as 5357, 5393, and 2382.
• Level 3 Assessing qualification or equivalent.
• Level 4 Internal Quality Audit certificate or equivalent.
• Green credentials (Solar PV, EV, EESS) are advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with project management ability.
• Leadership and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality and consistency of electrical installation courses.
• Develop and update lesson plans and training materials to industry standards.
• Assess apprentices and provide constructive feedback.
• Track progress and maintain accurate records of achievements and development.
• Provide one-to-one mentoring and address learning issues.
• Carry out progress reviews with apprentices and employers.
• Ensure training complies with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with employers to align training with workplace needs.
• Review courses per awarding bodies guidelines and keep attendance/assessment records.
• Monitor student performance and complete at-risk procedures.
• Implement Internal Quality Assurance requirements.
• Promote safeguarding and Equality & Diversity policies.
