Trigon Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Tutor to join the education team at HMP Ranby. You will deliver Level 2 Electrical Installation qualifications to small groups of learners, helping them develop practical trade skills and workplace behaviours.

We welcome electricians moving into education and will support you to gain teaching and assessing qualifications. This role offers a rewarding transition from site work to education within a prison environment.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Significant occupational experience within the electrical industry.
• Strong practical knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance and industry regulations.
• Experience training, mentoring, coaching or supporting others within a vocational environment.
• Excellent communication and learner engagement skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire learners from a range of backgrounds.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.

Responsabilités

• Deliver engaging Electrical Installation training and qualifications up to Level 2.
• Plan and deliver practical and theory-based sessions aligned to curriculum requirements.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learner needs and abilities.
• Create a positive, inclusive and motivating learning environment.
• Develop learners' practical electrical skills, technical knowledge and employability behaviours.
• Promote safe working practices and current industry standards at all times.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to support learner development.
• Develop and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs).
• Provide constructive feedback, advice and guidance.
• Support learners to achieve qualifications and personal development goals.
• Encourage progression into employment, apprenticeships and further learning opportunities.
• Build learner confidence, motivation and resilience.
• Maintain accurate learner records and assessment documentation.
• Ensure delivery meets awarding body, contractual and quality assurance standards.
• Contribute to quality improvement and curriculum development activities.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Work collaboratively with prison staff, education teams and support services.
• Embed employability skills, health & safety and professional behaviours into delivery.
• Ensure training reflects current electrical industry practices and employer expectations.
• Support learners to understand workplace standards and career opportunities within the electrical sector.
• Promote pathways into employment and further vocational development.
