Protocol in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Electrical Installations Technician to support practical learning in the Electrical Installations Department. The role involves preparing workshops, maintaining equipment and assisting with demonstrations and assessments.

Ideal candidates will have a Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations, at least one year of relevant trade experience, and a proactive, team-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations.
• At least one year's relevant trade experience within an electrical environment.
• Experience of electrical maintenance and repair.
• Up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety regulations relating to Electrical Installations.
• Strong communication, organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and students.
• Proactive, reliable and team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining workshop equipment and carrying out basic repairs where appropriate.
• Preparing tools, materials, assessment areas and equipment for practical lessons and demonstrations.
• Supporting lecturers during practical sessions, demonstrations and assessments.
• Ensuring workshops remain safe, organised and compliant with Health & Safety requirements.
• Assisting with the development and preparation of practical learning activities.
• Contributing to team meetings and the ongoing development of the Electrical Installations provision.
• Supporting a positive and professional learning environment for students.
