TeacherActive are working with a college that has an exciting opportunity for a technician to join our Electrical Installations team at Cambridge and Huntingdon. You will be employed on a full‑time basis with a salary between £25,192 and £27,152 per annum, plus staff benefits.

The role involves providing high‑quality technical support to learning programmes, maintaining equipment and workshops, and assisting teaching staff during practical sessions.

Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant trade experience in an electrical environment.
• Up-to-date Health & Safety knowledge relating to Electrical Installations.
• Good interpersonal, administrative and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and carry out basic repairs to equipment within workshops and training areas.
• Prepare and set up equipment, tools, materials and assessment areas for practical sessions and demonstrations.
• Provide practical support to teaching staff during workshop sessions, demonstrations and assessments.
• Help maintain a safe, organised and effective working environment with strong Health & Safety practices.
• Support development and preparation of practical activities for learning programmes.
• Contribute to team meetings and development of the Electrical Installations provision.
