Job summary

TeacherActive has partnered with a college to recruit an Electrical Installations Technician for Cambridge and Huntingdon. The role is full-time with a salary of £25,192–£27,152 per annum, plus staff benefits, and will involve supporting practical sessions, equipment preparation and course development within the Electrical Installations department.

The successful candidate will have at least one year of relevant trade experience, a Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations, and good Health &

Qualifications

• At least one year in an electrical trade environment.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements for electrical installations.
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment in workshops and training areas.
• Prepare equipment and materials for practical sessions and demonstrations.
• Provide practical support to teaching staff during sessions and assessments.
• Assist with safe, organised working practices and risk management.
• Contribute to development and preparation of practical activities for learning programmes.
• Support department development and team meetings.
