Job summary

Dovetail and Slate is seeking an experienced Electrical Installations Lecturer to deliver theory and practical training across full-time and part-time study programmes at a modern Construction Campus in Hertfordshire. The role is suitable for an FE educator or a qualified electrician transitioning off the tools.

You will plan and deliver engaging sessions, assess coursework and practical tasks, provide academic guidance, and use performance data to support student retention and achievement.

Qualifications

• Qualifications: Occupational qualification/degree in Electrical Installation and GCSE Maths/English.
• Experience: FE teaching background OR recent industrial trade experience. PGCE/Assessor awards desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teaching & Delivery: Plan and deliver electrical installation theory and workshop sessions.
• Assessment & Support: Assess coursework and practical tasks; provide academic guidance.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe classroom/workshop; uphold safeguarding and equality standards.
