Job summary

Dovetail and Slate is seeking an Electrical Installation Lecturer in Buckinghamshire to deliver practical and theoretical teaching across electrical installation programmes. The role suits experienced electricians transitioning to education or established FE lecturers seeking a new challenge.

Unqualified teachers are welcome; the Taking Teaching Further scheme supports on-the-job training, starting with the Level 3 Award in Education and Training and progressing to the Level 5 Diploma.

Qualifications

• Trades experience in electrical installation.
• Level 3 electrical installation qualification or equivalent.
• Willingness to train on the job for teaching qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical workshops and theoretical lectures for Electrical Installation courses.
• Plan and structure learning programmes tailored to student needs.
• Integrate digital tools and modern teaching techniques.
• Maintain workshop health and safety standards and risk assessments.
• Participate in curriculum development and industry-led initiatives.
