Job summary

Dovetail & Slate is seeking an experienced Electrical Installations Apprenticeship Specialist in Essex to lead teaching, assessment and learner support across apprenticeship and full-time pathways. You will work with employer partners to ensure high-quality outcomes and progression in the electrical trades.

You will combine industry knowledge with educational delivery, ensuring learners achieve End Point Assessments and relevant qualifications while upholding health and safety and professional

Qualifications

  • JIB Approved Electrician status, NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment, AM2 qualification, Assessor Qualification, IQA Qualification (or willingness to achieve) are required.
  • Recent industrial electrical sector experience and passion for developing future talent and learner success.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Electrical Installation Full Time Study Programmes and/or Apprenticeships.
  • Assess learner competence in both workshop and workplace environments.
  • Support Apprentices to successfully achieve End Point Assessment and qualification outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with employers and industry partners.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, industry engagement and quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain accurate learner progress records and meet awarding organisation requirements.
  • Act as a role model for professional standards, health and safety, and industry best practice.

Salary: £46,642 per annum + £4,000 Market Rate Supplement + £4,000 Annual Apprenticeship Achievement Bonus
Potential Earnings: Up to £54,642 per annum
Location: Essex
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

We are seeking experienced and industry-qualified electrical professionals to join our growing team as an Apprenticeship Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering outstanding apprenticeship and full-time electrical provision, helping to develop the next generation of electricians while supporting employer partners across the region.

As an Apprenticeship Specialist you will combine your extensive industry knowledge with high-quality teaching, assessment and learner support to ensure exceptional outcomes for apprentices and students.

What You’ll Do

Essential Requirements

Applicants must hold:

  • JIB Approved Electrician status.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment.
  • AM2 qualification.
  • Assessor Qualification (A1, D32/33, CAVA or equivalent).
  • IQA Qualification (or willingness to achieve within an agreed timeframe if not currently held).
  • Recent and relevant industrial experience within the electrical sector.
  • A passion for developing future talent and supporting learner success.
