Job summary

Abingdon and Witney College is seeking an experienced Study Programme Lead in Electrical Installation to join the Construction team. The role blends curriculum leadership with classroom teaching to shape and deliver high-quality Electrical Installation programmes, ensuring learners progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study.

You will own planning, delivery, assessment and quality assurance, split between curriculum development and teaching, with a focus on learner achievement and

Qualifications

• Qualified to level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation.
• A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to achieve one.
• Significant industry knowledge and expertise within Electrical Installation.
• Experience of teaching within the curriculum area.
• Excellent teaching and learner engagement skills.
• A commitment to learner achievement, progression and success.
• Experience within a post-16 further education environment.
• Internal verification experience or Lead Internal Verifier status.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, delivery, assessment and quality assurance of Electrical Installation programmes.
• Coordinate learning plans and contribute to timetable planning.
• Design and implement inductions for programmes and courses.
• Manage academic progress of students and provide interventions when needed.
• Support work experience and industry placement activity.
• Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of Electrical Installation programmes.
