Wigan & Leigh College is seeking a lecturer to teach Electrical Installation across Levels 1 to 3 within the Construction department. The role involves planning practical and theory lessons, teaching essential regulations and methods, and tutoring students towards their next steps.

It requires a vocational background in electrical installation and a willingness to pursue a teaching qualification. The role is full time (37 hours per week) with travel across college sites.

• Knowledge of teaching methods and assessment in electrical installation
• Ability to plan and deliver practical and theory lessons
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and monitor student progress

Aufgaben

• Plan and deliver lessons across Levels 1 to 3, covering practical and theory work
• Teach the standards, regulations and methods that working electricians must know
• Mark work, give clear feedback and use assessment results to shape teaching
• Act as a Personal Tutor, supporting students through their course and into their next steps
• Contribute to curriculum development, departmental initiatives and recruitment activities such as Open Evenings and tasters
• Keep trade knowledge current as regulations and practice develop
