Job summary

The City of Liverpool College is seeking a part-time Bank Lecturer in electrical installation to plan, deliver and assess Level 1–3 courses, including evening programmes. The post focuses on current industry practice and curriculum development, with a Level 4 electrical qualification and an assessor award required.

Teaching will cover theory, practical training and ongoing assessment, with emphasis on safe learning and progressing students through the curriculum. Evening classes may be involved.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification in electrical installation or equivalent is required.
• Assessor award (A1 or TAQA) is required.
• Recent teaching and assessing experience in electrical installation.
• Good ICT skills and literacy/numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high quality lessons from Level 1 to Level 3.
• Deliver evening programmes and current industry and practitioner skills.
• Teach electrical installation theory, practical and assessing skills.
• Set, mark and record student work and participate in assessments.
• Track progress and attendance using college systems.
