Qualifications

  • Educated to Level 4 (degree or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
  • Assessor Award (A1 or TAQA).
  • Level 2 literacy and numeracy or willingness to complete.
  • Recent experience of teaching and assessing Electrical Installation courses.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Electrical provision.
  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Excellent computer literacy and ICT skills.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to set high standards for students and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality lessons from Level 1 to Level 3, including evening programmes.
  • Teach a wide range of electrical skills: theory, practical and assessment.
  • Promote innovative work and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Create and maintain engaging learning opportunities for all students.
  • Contribute to mission and values of the College and ensure health and safety compliance.
  • Support safeguarding, GDPR and college policies; manage student progress and attendance.
