Job summary

Tata Steel's Port Talbot site is seeking a permanent Electrical Inspector to join the Hot Rolled Products remit. The successful candidate will be a time served Electrical Apprentice with NVQ3 Electrical, and must have full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities include carrying out electrical installations, issuing permits, diagnosing faults on control systems, and ensuring health and safety compliance. Competitive rate based on experience, within the UK market.

Qualifications

• Completed an approved Apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 Electrical or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge including fault finding on electrical systems.
• Good understanding of electrical permit systems.
• Enthusiasm towards undertaking further development and training.
• Strong interpersonal communication including verbal and written communication.
• Proven experience in a relevant position with willingness to undertake further development and training.
• Excellent UK Health and Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical installations
• Issuing permits on electrical systems after training
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults on control systems, drives and motors
• Ensuring full compliance with H&S and company policy at all times
• Supporting the rest of the team to diagnose/rectify faults quickly
• Reacting to engineering, quality and safety issues immediately and effectively
• Contributing to plant performance improvement
