Job summary

Line Up Aviation in Bolton is seeking an Electrical Inspector to oversee the quality of deliverable hardware and certify products in line with approved processes. BPSS clearance is required.

The role is based in Bolton, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, with umbrella-paid £29.02 per hour. You will inspect assemblies, verify electrical connections and finishes, maintain manufacturing data packs, and manage non-conformances while upholding high workmanship standards and a safe workplace

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent vocational training in electrical hardware inspection.
• G/H Vocational, City & Guilds Parts 1-3 or TR23 Units completed.
• NVQ3 with BTEC ONC/HNC or equivalent.
• Experience inspecting others' work is essential.
• Manual handling and ESD training are preferred.
• No colour blindness is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all elements to achieve and maintain hardware quality.
• Certify products per processes and procedures.
• Inspect assemblies and verify electrical connections.
• Inspect surface finishes for defects.
• Inspect for physical damage and non-product activities.
• Monitor operators within the Product Certification Scheme.
• Complete and certify documentation for manufacturing data packs.
• Control non-conforming items and raise non-conformance reports.
• Produce inspection/quality control documentation/history sheets.
• Use specialised inspection tools and maintain certifications.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and process-improvement culture.
