LJ Recruitment is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias) for a well-established food manufacturing operation in Norfolk. You’ll perform planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, and keep production lines running efficiently.

The role covers PLCs, motors, drives and control systems, with a focus on reliability improvements and adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good mechanical maintenance knowledge.
• Experience with PLCs, automation and industrial control systems.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and preventative maintenance.
• Relevant electrical or engineering qualifications.
• Food manufacturing experience would be advantageous, but strong maintenance experience from other manufacturing sectors will also be considered.

Responsabilités

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
• Troubleshooting PLCs, motors, drives, sensors and control systems.
• Maintaining and improving production machinery and equipment.
• Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
• Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Ensuring all work complies with health, safety and engineering standards.
