Job summary

IWFM in the Ormskirk area is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager on a permanent basis to support day-to-day site facilities management for a global engineering company.

The role focuses on maintenance planning, contractor coordination, and delivery of site improvement projects, with an electrically biased background. You will ensure compliance with health, safety and statutory legislation while maintaining site documentation.

Qualifications

• An HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience with electrical wiring installations, including single and three–phase systems.
• AutoCAD experience and good MS Office skills are essential.
• Ability to work with contractors and internal teams in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day–to–day management of site facilities and infrastructure.
• Plan and coordinate routine maintenance activities.
• Manage and liaise with external contractors and internal departments.
• Ensure maintenance and project work comply with health, safety and legislation.
• Support delivery of facilities improvement and maintenance projects.
• Update and maintain site drawings and technical documentation.
• Coordinate electrical inspections and maintain compliance records.
• Prioritise workloads to complete projects and maintenance efficiently.
