Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to join a busy team on electrical installation, testing, maintenance and overhaul projects in the UK. The role focuses on reading, wiring, assembling and testing large-scale engineering systems.

Candidates should have Level 3 qualification (essential) and strong hand/power tool skills, with desirable rail/rolling stock experience. Long-term contract through to December 2027 with day shifts, no weekends, PAYE £20.05/hr or Umbrella

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Electrical Fitter or similar in a technical/production environment.
• Experience with electrical installation, panel wiring, cable routing, or electrical maintenance.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, wire and assemble electrical components and systems.
• Carry out electrical maintenance, fault finding and repair work.
• Work on large vehicle, rolling stock, or heavy engineering overhaul projects.
• Read schematics and drawings; use hand and power tools to fit and terminate components.
• Carry out testing and inspections to ensure quality standards.
