SP Electricity North West is seeking an Electrical Fitter to install, inspect, repair and maintain electrical plant within substations. You’ll work to high safety standards and must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Essential skills include proven fitting craft abilities, a recognised apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3, a Full UK driving licence and knowledge of risk assessments and health and safety regulations. Experience with HV components is preferred.

Competenze

• Proven fitting craft skills.
• Recognised Craft Apprenticeship and/or NVQ Level 3.
• Operational authorisations enabling work as a competent person (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe working practices and risk assessment procedures.
• Experience working with high‑voltage electrical system components, plant and equipment.
• Understanding of health & safety legislation relevant to the role.
• Broad understanding of the construction industry and SP Electricity North West within it.

Mansioni

• Install, repair, inspect and maintain electrical plant apparatus (switches, isolators, circuit breakers, batteries, protection, transformers) within ENWL substations.
• Carry out routine checks and respond to faults to ensure reliability of the network.
• Follow safety procedures and pre‑employment checks as required.
