Base Location: Battery Point & Arnish Power Stations, Stornoway
Salary: £33,063 - £38,404 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

SSE Power Distribution operates two electricity distribution networks and one transmission network, covering 123,000 substations and 127,000 km of cables and lines. We deliver power to 30% of the UK’s landmass, serving 3.5 million customers.
Several islands off Scotland's west and north coasts are connected via submarine cables and supported by backup diesel power stations. We're currently offering an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Fitter at our Battery Point and Arnish Power Stations in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis.
As part of the company ethos, you may be asked to carry out duties outside your main core skills but within your capabilities, therefore a degree of flexibility is required.
Your main base will be Stornoway; however, there may be a requirement to travel infrequently to others located in the Western Isles, Inner Hebrides and Northern Isles to support the maintenance of other island power stations.
