Job description

Morson Technical Services are currently seeking a Structural Technician within the Wildcat Base Maintenance Bay at RNAS Yeovilton on a permanent basis.

JOB PURPOSE

Perform aircraft structural repairs and related tasks.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
  1. Hold authorisations to the minimum level required by WMS, including first signature within own trade group (Limited to Aircraft structural repairs and associated tasks) as detailed in OP 1103 and IAW individual Record of Engineering Authorisations (REA).
  2. Maintain technical currency and authorisation through ongoing training and reading disseminated information.
  3. Carry out aircraft structural repairs and related tasks as directed by WBM Structures Supervisors / Inspectors, following published procedures and instructions.
  4. Observe authorised tool control procedures (WMS OP 502) when performing repairs and tasks.
  5. Operate AGE and Hangar facilities as directed.
  6. Ensure FOD clearance and check the security of the dispersal area.
  7. Manage administration and maintain the working environment.
  8. Be prepared to work towards achieving NVQ in Aeronautical Engineering discipline.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in aircraft manufacturing or repair.
  • Experience in structural or sheet metal work.
