Job summary

Catalyst Consultants is seeking a Junior Field Service Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical foundations to service industrial machinery across customer sites in the UK. You will diagnose faults, install and commission machines, and train customers, supported by full product training.

The role suits engineers early in their field-service career, offering progression as you tackle more complex control-system problems with guidance from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Electrical foundation and fault-finding on industrial equipment.
• Reading electrical schematics and following controls/machines.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair industrial machinery at customer sites.
• Install and commission new machines.
• Diagnose electrical, control-system and mechanical faults.
• Read electrical schematics and use diagnostic tools.
• Provide customers with professional technical service.
• Travel to manufacturing customers across the South of England.
• Train customers in machine operation.
• Work with experienced engineers on complex issues.
