Job Description

Electrical Field Service Engineer required for a pharmaceutical equipment manufacturer based in the Liverpool area. To work within the Service Team, attending customer sites globally to assist with preventative maintenance, commissioning/installation, IQ/OQ, or emergency call-out visits. The role also involves executing Pre-FAT and FAT of equipment.

The role will include global travel, approximately 40%-50% depending on projects, typically lasting between 1-2 weeks at a time.

Electrical Field Service Engineer Job Overview

• Attend customer facilities as needed to carry out installations and IQ/OQ.
• Assist with Pre-FAT and FAT before equipment is shipped to customer sites.
• Support commissioning of equipment at customer facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Assist EC&I team with project wiring, testing, and build when not on-site.
• Respond to emergency breakdown call-outs.
• Ensure all duties comply with the company's Environmental Health & Safety Policy and ISO9001:2008 Quality Management System.

Job Requirements

• Degree (or similar) qualification in electrical engineering.
• Significant experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Siemens HMI/PLCs (Siemens 7 & RS Logic).
• Familiarity with CAD.
• Experience within the pharmaceutical industry (desirable).
• Ability to deliver high levels of customer care and develop long-standing customer relationships.
• Excellent communication skills.

Salary & Benefits

Salary dependent on experience, likely £45k-£50k. Daily allowance while off-site: £50/day. Overtime (OVT) is paid at 1.5x Monday to Saturday, and 2x on Sundays after normal working hours.
