Job summary

Maintech Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an electrically biased Facilities Engineer Technician in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. The role offers Monday to Friday days, a basic salary up to £39,000, and a chance to work on boilers, compressors, fire protection and effluent treatment within a food manufacturing site.

You will cover electrical installations, fault finding, compliance inspections and general site services, contributing to continuous improvement while maintaining a safe, compliant operation.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical apprenticeship or Level 3 Electrical qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience maintaining site services, facilities or manufacturing equipment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills with a good understanding of statutory compliance.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across site services equipment.
• Complete statutory inspections, keeping compliance documentation accurate and audit-ready.
• Maintain boilers, compressors, effluent treatment plant, sprinkler systems and fire protection equipment.
• Carry out electrical installations, fault finding and repairs across the site.
• Support LOLER inspections and legionella control procedures.
• Carry out general building maintenance including basic plumbing, joinery and facilities repairs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that boost site reliability and efficiency.
