Job summary

Gen2 in Ulverston seeks a Technical Delivery Tutor in Electrical and Maintenance engineering to deliver and assess courses up to level 3, aligned with Pearson BTEC, EAL diplomas and City & Guilds qualifications. The role involves curriculum development, practical skill development, and supporting learners.

A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, plus industry experience, is preferred; teaching or assessing experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

Three years’ industry experience in Electrical and Maintenance roles.
Minimum Level 2 Maths and English qualifications.
Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Engineering.
Good numeracy and literacy; strong communication skills.
Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

Deliver and assess Electrical Engineering courses up to Level 3.
Develop and maintain course materials, lesson plans and schemes of work.
Assist in curriculum development and delivery improvement plans.
Maintain accurate records (ILP etc) and complete moderation/IQA duties as required.
Review course content and delivery methods regularly.
Achieve learner performance goals and provide feedback.
Contribute to centre development and deliver material beyond Electrical Installation & Engineering.
Prepare for internal and external audits and attend promotional events.
