Job summary

HybridTec in Liverpool is seeking an Electrical Tutor to deliver training across electrical and renewable energy programmes, including Solar PV, EV Charge Points, EESS/Battery Storage and 18th Edition.

If you are an experienced electrician, this is a great chance to share knowledge with the next generation; teaching experience is preferred but not essential. An Enhanced DBS check will be required, and we offer flexible hours with full-time or part-time contracts.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Strong electrical industry background.
• Knowledge of renewable energy technologies (Solar PV, EV charging, battery storage).
• Comfortable presenting to groups.
• Teaching experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training across electrical and renewable energy programmes.
• Lead bootcamps and courses such as Solar PV and EV charging.
• Support learners to achieve NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation.
• Possibly teach Level 3 apprenticeships.

Electrical Tutor

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £36,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience

Hours: Full-time or Part-time

Employment Type: Permanent

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Electrical Tutor to join a growing training centre in Liverpool.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced electrician who is looking to share their industry knowledge and expertise with the next generation of electrical professionals. Teaching experience is preferred but not essential, as we are also keen to hear from experienced electricians who are passionate about passing on their knowledge.

The Role

As an Electrical Tutor, you will deliver training across electrical and renewable energy programmes, including renewable energy bootcamps covering areas such as:

• Solar PV
• EV Charge Points
• EESS / Battery Storage
• 18th Edition
• There may also be a requirement to teach Level 3 Electrical Installation apprenticeships, supporting learners to achieve an NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation standard.
• Deliver additional electrical courses such as 2391 Inspection & Testing, depending on learner and business requirements.

About You

• Holds an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• Has a strong electrical industry background
• Has experience or knowledge in renewable energy technologies such as Solar PV, EV Charging, EESS/Battery Storage or 18th Edition
• Is confident speaking and presenting in front of groups
• Is enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge and industry expertise
• Has a professional and engaging approach
• Is passionate about helping others develop their skills and careers
• Teaching or training experience is preferred but not essential

You may currently be working as an electrician and be looking for an opportunity to move into training, or you may already have experience delivering electrical training.
