Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking an Electrical Installation Lecturer to join our further education team in the South East. You will deliver engaging teaching across electrical installation programmes, helping learners gain practical skills, knowledge and confidence for employment or apprenticeships.

You will plan and prepare both workshop and classroom sessions, assess learner work and track progress, and work within a supportive team to create an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in electrical installation.
• Extensive industry experience in the electrical installation trade.
• Teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

• Delivering practical and theoretical teaching across electrical installation programmes.
• Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities that support learner progression and achievement.
• Providing constructive feedback and setting individual learning targets.
• Maintaining a safe and effective workshop and classroom environment.
• Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.

Electrical Installation Lecturer

Permanent | Location: the South East | Salary:

£35,537 - £44,458 per annum, pro rata dependent on qualifications and experience.
+ £3,000 market supplement per annum.

Start date: December 2026/ January 2027

About the Role

Our client, a further education provider, is looking for an Electrical Installation Lecturer to join their team. You'll deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across electrical installation programmes, helping learners build the practical skills, knowledge and confidence they need to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study.
