Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking a Remote Engineering Lecturer to deliver online engineering sessions for learners in the West Midlands region.

You'll plan, deliver and assess remote teaching, track learner progress, and contribute to curriculum development while maintaining quality assurance and records. This temporary contract offers flexible online delivery and the opportunity to influence practical engineering skills for progression into employment or further study.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in engineering discipline (or equivalent).
• Strong practical and technical engineering knowledge.
• Confidence delivering and assessing learning in an online environment.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering inclusive, industry-relevant engineering sessions remotely.
• Assessing and marking learner work in line with awarding body standards.
• Monitoring learner progress and putting timely support in place where it's needed.

Remote Engineering Lecturer

Are you an experienced engineering professional looking to pass your knowledge on to the next generation of technicians?

About the Role

You'll join an education provider in the West Midlands to deliver engineering teaching remotely, supporting learners to build the technical skills, knowledge and professional behaviours they need to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study.

You'll plan and deliver engaging online sessions, assess learner work and track progress, keeping learners motivated and on course to complete.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering inclusive, industry-relevant engineering sessions remotely.
• Assessing and marking learner work in line with awarding body standards.
• Monitoring learner progress and putting timely support in place where it's needed.
• Maintaining accurate records and taking part in quality assurance processes.

What We're Looking For

• Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline (or equivalent)
• Strong practical and technical engineering knowledge
• Confidence delivering and assessing learning in an online environment

Desirable (but not essential):

• A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Previous experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners
