Job summary

Wiltshire College & University Centre in Salisbury invites applications for a Lecturer in Electrical Engineering. The role targets candidates with experience in electrical systems, electronics, automation, control systems, and power engineering, to deliver theory and practical sessions and support learner progression.

Salary options include Unqualified Lecturer £29,294 or Qualified Lecturer £31,885–£40,814 per year, plus a £3,000 pro rata Specialist Skills Shortage Bonus.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 or above qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant industry experience in electrical engineering, electronics, automation, or power systems.
• Knowledge of current electrical engineering practices and technologies.
• Willingness to support, mentor and develop others in a teaching environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assess learners across Electrical Engineering programmes, including theoretical and practical learning activities.
• Deliver engaging and inclusive sessions across classroom, laboratory, and engineering environments.
• Support learners to develop knowledge and skills in electrical principles, electronics, automation, control technologies, fault diagnosis, and engineering practices.
• Embed current industry knowledge, emerging technologies, health and safety, sustainability, and professional standards into learning.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, learner support, and professionalism.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement, progression, and career readiness.
