Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking an Electrical Engineer Surveyor for a role based in the Central Belt of Scotland, between Edinburgh and Glasgow. The role focuses on prolonging the life and safety of electrical equipment by identifying defects early and ensuring safe completion of work.

The successful candidate will carry out quality assessments, inspections of fixed wiring and electrical plant, and produce detailed reports to keep clients compliant with UK regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification.
  • Experience in testing and inspection of electrical installations.
  • Experience in domestic or industrial electrical work.
  • Ability to explain complex technical problems clearly.
  • Willingness to commute to Edinburgh or Glasgow from the Central Belt.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out quality assessments and inspections of fixed wiring and electrical plant equipment.
  • Prepare detailed reports and ensure client compliance with UK regulations.
  • Support customers in regulatory compliance and safety.
  • Work Monday–Friday with flexible hours.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER SURVEYOR

Location: Central Belt of Scotland between Edinburgh and Glasgow

Salary: Basic up to £48,236 plus Car Allowance and a Full Benefits Package

Shift: Days, Monday - Friday, Flexible Working Hours

Sector: Inspection (Field Service)

Job Role Overview: A standout opportunity to join a leading inspection consultancy. Responsible for prolonging the life and safety of electrical equipment by spotting potential defects early and ensuring all work is completed safely.

Responsibilities

Complete quality assessments and inspections of fixed wiring installations and electrical plant equipment, carry out detailed reporting, and ensure customers remain compliant with vital regulations governing their industry within the UK.

Non‑Negotiable Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 Electrical Engineering based qualification.
  • Worked within hazardous environments (COMPEX).
  • Significant level of practical experience working as a domestic or industrial electrician.
Requirements
  • Strong electrical background with testing and inspection experience.
  • Electrical Engineering qualifications.
  • Ability to communicate complex and technical problems.
  • Must live around the Central Belt of Scotland ideally with an easy commute to Edinburgh or Glasgow.
Desirable Requirements
  • Ideally hold an NVQ Level 4 qualification or equivalent.
