Qualifikationen

• Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in electrical engineering within MEP, building services, infrastructure, or the rail sector.
• Proven experience in electrical design, engineering calculations, technical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, British Standards, industry regulations, and project-specific requirements.
• Experience using electrical design software and CAD/BIM tools, such as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and construction documentation.

Aufgaben

• Develop, review, and coordinate electrical designs, drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant British Standards, Building Regulations, HS2 specifications, and applicable industry standards.
• Coordinate electrical design interfaces with mechanical, public health, structural, and civil engineering disciplines.
• Review design packages, technical submissions, and construction drawings to ensure accuracy, compliance, and buildability.
• Provide technical guidance and engineering support to site teams, resolving design queries and installation-related issues.
• Undertake electrical engineering calculations, including load assessments, cable sizing, containment design, and lighting calculations.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, site inspections, and project progress discussions.
• Support electrical installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, and final handover activities.
• Identify design risks and contribute to value engineering, buildability assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant health and safety legislation, quality standards, and project procedures.
