Job summary

Baily Garner seeks an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join our Eltham consultancy team. The role supports project design and delivery across architectural, building and quantity surveying groups, with potential for leadership on project teams.

The ideal candidate holds an electrical engineering degree, is Chartered or working towards, has at least 2 years PQE in a consultancy, and is a member of IET or CIBSE. UK residency of 3+ years is required.

Qualifications

• Relevant Electrical Engineering Degree.
• Chartered or working towards professional status.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in a consultancy environment.
• Associate Member of IET or CIBSE.
• UK resident with at least 3 years in the country.

Responsibilities

• Help Senior Engineers with project design and delivery.
• Understand client needs and rules, design building services, and keep organised project records.
• Create designs that meet regulations and company standards.
• Work closely with other team members.
• Prepare clear specifications, drawings, and schedules for electrical services.
• Get Senior Engineers to check designs before sending out.
• Do site surveys, testing, and commissioning as needed.
• Share design knowledge and help train junior colleagues.
• Assist with cost estimates, planning, and tendering.
• Attend meetings and help with minutes as needed.
• Manage and carry out project tasks each day.
• Lead and manage projects and project teams to ensure successful outcomes.
