Job summary

Talentmark is recruiting an Electrical Engineer for a 6-month contract based in Norwich. The role is site-based and urgent, with a start in October 2026. The client operates across multiple industries including renewable energy and healthcare products.

Salary is £167.35 per day PAYE or £222.89 per day via umbrella, dependent on experience. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and may be subject to a DBS check.

Qualifications

• Holds relevant electrical qualifications & certifications.
• Experience in the grid or the energy industry.
• Demonstrable experience in planning and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Assess the probable impact that the work will have on the Electrical Installation.
• Ensure that all necessary signage, such as operation signs, warning signs and required barriers, are in place.
• Perform risk management for work activities.
• Acknowledge the return of Permit to Work or Permit to Test from the Nominated person in charge of works (PICW) before taking measures to change the configuration of the electrical system.
• Ensure that required tests have been performed prior to energisation, i.e insulation tests of equipment and associated cables test, protective earthing continuity, etc. in accordance to the inspection test plan.
