Job summary

Talentmark are recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join a multinational, multi-industry company on a contract basis for 6 months. This role is fully site based in Norwich, with an urgent start in October 2026.

The role requires holding relevant electrical qualifications & certifications and experience in the national grid or energy industry. You will be responsible for risk management, signage and safety measures, permit handling, and ensuring tests are completed before energisation.

Qualifications

• Hold relevant electrical qualifications & certifications.
• Experience in the national grid or energy industry is preferred.
• Demonstrable experience in planning and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Assess the probable impact that the work will have on the Electrical Installation.
• Ensure that all necessary signage, such as operation signs, warning signs and required barriers, are in place.
• Perform risk management for work activities.
• Acknowledge the return of Permit to Work or Permit to Test from the Nominated person in charge of works (PICW) before taking measures to change the configuration of the electrical system.
• Ensure that required tests have been performed prior to energisation, e.g insulation tests of equipment and associated cables test, protective earthing continuity, etc. in accordance to the inspection test plan.
