Job summary

HVAC Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a temporary contract at a manufacturing site in Birstall, West Yorkshire. The role focuses on PPMs, reactive maintenance, and compliance tasks, with a 6:30am–3pm shift and a starting ASAP.

Candidate must hold NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification with AM2, 18th Edition, and ECS/CSCS card. Pay is £20.50 per hour PAYE, with a minimum 1-month contract and potential for ongoing work.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification + AM2 (or equivalent) – Essential
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – Essential
• Valid ECS/CSCS Grade Card or equivalent – Essential
• 2391 Inspection & Testing – Desirable
• Previous electrical maintenance experience within commercial or industrial environments.
• Experience with PPMs, reactive maintenance and general building services.
• Basic plumbing and fabric maintenance skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• BMS knowledge and SFG20 desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive electrical repairs.
• Electrical fault finding, lighting repairs and emergency lighting checks.
• Completing statutory compliance inspections and maintenance records.
• Carrying out basic plumbing, water temperature checks and minor fabric repairs.
• Supporting fire door inspections and general building maintenance.
• Liaising with contractors and ensuring work is completed safely.
• Updating maintenance documentation and complying with health and safety procedures.
