Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited in Glasgow is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Design & Advanced Technology Practice. The role involves contributing to design and delivery of electrical systems across sectors such as water, energy and environment. Hybrid working with 3 days office/site based, based in Glasgow.

The successful candidate will work with experienced engineers, provide guidance to graduates, attend client meetings, and develop through mentoring and professional registration support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Working towards Chartership or Incorporated Engineer.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative approach to problem-solving within multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel for site visits, meetings and workshops.
• Experience in an engineering consultancy, contractor, client or owner-operator is essential.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and delivery of innovative electrical solutions across multiple sectors.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Support development of electrical systems and infrastructure and take on increasing responsibility.
• Provide guidance to graduates and apprentices to support project delivery.
• Attend client meetings, design reviews and project workshops.
• Gain project experience through site surveys, inspections and construction-stage support.
