Job summary

NES Fircroft in Glasgow is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Junior to Lead) with expertise in earthing, power systems and protection studies to join our growing engineering consultancy. The role focuses on HV and EHV infrastructure, with opportunities to lead technical studies and mentor junior engineers.

You will deliver technical analyses, reports and engineering recommendations, support bids and project delivery, and work within a collaborative, high-performance team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience delivering earthing, power systems, or protection studies.
• Strong understanding of HV/EHV infrastructure and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead earthing, power systems, and protection studies for HV/EHV projects.
• Deliver technical analyses such as load flow, fault level, protection coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Produce technical reports, calculations, and engineering recommendations.
• Support bids, proposals, and project delivery activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Manage projects to meet technical, commercial, and programme objectives.
