Job summary

NES Fircroft (NES) is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support HVDC cable installation on major UK transmission projects. You will provide engineering support to on-site construction, ensuring safety, quality and adherence to drawings, specifications and method statements.

Knowledge of HVDC installations and temporary works is highly valued. The role requires 5+ years in site engineering on HVDC or transmission projects, reading drawings, coordinating with site teams and maintaining

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in site engineering/construction, with HVDC cable installation or HVDC transmission project exposure.
• Experience on major infrastructure projects including power transmission and cable installation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specs and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering support for HVDC cable installation and civil works.
• Set out and survey cable routes, joint bays, ducts, trenches, access roads and compounds.
• Review drawings, specs, methodologies, and ITPs to ensure compliance with approved designs.
