Job summary

NES Fircroft in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Senior / Principal Earthing, Power Systems & Protection Consultant to join its engineering consultancy team. You will lead studies across HV and EHV infrastructure, delivering technical analyses and engineering solutions.

The role can be tailored to single-discipline expertise or broader multidisciplinary experience, with responsibilities including mentoring juniors, supporting bids, and driving project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience delivering earthing and power systems studies.
• Knowledge of HV/EHV infrastructure and standards.
• Experience with protection studies and software tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead earthing, power systems, and protection studies for HV/EHV projects.
• Produce technical reports, calculations, and recommendations.
• Support bids, proposals, and project delivery activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Manage projects to technical, commercial, and programme objectives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
