Qualifications

• HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
• 3–5 years of experience in electrical building services design.
• Experience delivering designs from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

• Undertake electrical building services design from concept through to detailed design and project completion.
• Independently manage projects, ensuring designs meet technical standards and deadlines.
• Produce electrical calculations, specifications, drawings and technical reports.
• Design electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting and related installations.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and design team members.
• Attend design meetings, undertake site visits and provide technical support during construction.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, standards and best practices.

The Electrical Engineer Opportunity

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering electrical building services designs across a range of projects, taking responsibility from initial concept through to completion and post-completion stages.

You will work alongside experienced engineers and other building services professionals, gaining exposure to different projects while continuing to develop your technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake electrical building services design from concept through to detailed design and project completion.
• Independently manage projects, ensuring designs are delivered to the required technical standards and deadlines.
• Produce electrical calculations, specifications, drawings and technical reports.
• Design electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting and associated building services installations.
• Liaise directly with clients, architects, contractors and other members of the design team.
• Attend design meetings, undertake site visits and provide technical support throughout the construction process.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, standards and best practice.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines.

About You

• A minimum HND qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3–5 years' experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environment.
• Experience delivering electrical designs from concept through to completion.
• The ability and confidence to manage projects independently.
• Good knowledge of relevant electrical design standards and regulations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients and project teams.
• A proactive attitude and a genuine desire to develop professionally.
