We are developing the Samurai 220H Machining Center to be launched this year and require an electrical engineer to lead the design and testing of the electrical cabinet.

Responsibilities

• As the chief electrical design engineer, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings, bill of materials, and creating technical files to comply with CE, FCC regulations.
• Design beautiful and functional control panels and electrical cabinets
• Test prototypes and system capabilities
• Find suitable suppliers / manufacturers of electronic components
• Hands on work with prototypes, soldering, assembly e.c.t
• Use of CAD software (Siemens NX, Capital X Panel Designer)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Strong problem solving, physics knowledge, and math skills
• Experience with machinery or other complex electronic products
• Understanding of global safety regulations regarding electrical systems / machinery
• Ability to learn without supervision, to tackle new problems
• Work both on site and off site according to the project needs
• Have a large impact on the future of Samurai Machine tools

Notes

• Candidates will be judged based on their ability to solve real world problems, not necessarily formal qualifications.
• This is a long term position (>5 years)
• You must be located (or able to relocate) near Leamington Spa, UK
• Minimum 5 years experience with electronics
• Candidates with more experience must be open to innovation

This role begins in June 2025.
