Job summary

Network Recruitment is seeking a Chartered Electrical Engineer to join a leading building services team in London. You will lead electrical design across commercial, residential and industrial developments, delivering compliant, sustainable solutions.

The role requires CEng status, a degree in Electrical Engineering, UK building regs knowledge, and proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit. You’ll mentor junior engineers and collaborate with architects and project managers to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with the IET or equivalent.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng/BSc or higher).
• Proven UK experience within building services engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or similar design software.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services, including lighting, power distribution, fire detection and HVAC integration.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Conduct feasibility studies, load calculations and compliance assessments in line with UK regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers and project managers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and tender documentation.
• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with the IET or equivalent.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng/BSc or higher).
• Proven UK experience within building services engineering.
• Strong knowledge of BS Standards, UK Building Regulations and relevant codes of practice.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or similar design software.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
